I just scanned this entire thread and still don't know if the OP solved his
Refer and water heater issue.
He says the furnace is on and does not specifically mention fridge and water heater....

We hope he is OK and will post a follow up eventually!

This value sounds bad news. Are you referring to the red light battery meter as 50% ? If so may be too low of DC voltage to operate the water heater or fridge. Both units need 12V for control and gas or 120 volt to operate. You really need a multimeter and diagnose power readings in volts AC or DC. Suspect the coach battery not charging on the road.

I believe the OP was responding in post # 5 (which you quoted above) to BandJ's post # 4 about two propane tanks and whether both were on. The OP was referring to only having one and it was at 50%.

Missed that but it's still the common denominator for the four faults. Must have 12 volt control to both water heater and reefer. Must have AC voltage or gas as source of power. Otherwise seems it's Mission Impossible.

He went through -16 degree temps in Bloomington IL. That's when his stuff froze... it seems to me.

So we finally got to our destination. The problem that happened at the same time with the new fridge and new water heater seamed to be linked with some kind of 12v problem. When I heard hoof prints I assumed horses. Turned out it was zebras. The two issues were unrelated. Water heater had a burned wire. Fridge a bad cooling unit. Dometic does not respond quickly and it will be days before we get the warranty cooling unit. Thanks for all your help.

Thanks for the update. Debugging two simultaneous failures is orders of magnitude harder than debugging a single wide-spread failure.
