Need rear bed slide info

We have a 2007 Surveyor SV 235-RS With a power rear bed slideout. We did not get a manual for the slide motor when we picked up the trailer. The dealer has ordered one for us, but we are set to leave on vacation this Saturday (10/14). What I would like to know is how would I opperate the slide if the motor fails. THer has to be some type of manual override / crank to get it in or out if needed. I know how to access the area in the wall where the moter is located. The dealer does not have anyone on staff who knows much about this unit, so they are of little help until the book arrives.

Thanks in advance for any help and info.

UPDATE: The dealer says FR says there is not a manual for the slide out motor. I find this hard to believe. There has to be some way to over ride it if the power fails. What about maintenance ? Any one have an idea on this or a good way to contact FR directly ?

I did not get any kind of instructions for my slide on my Flagstaff either. Apparently they feel that they won't ever fail (Ha!) Mine hasn't but it could and I guess I would be up the creek.

There are some posts here on the forum with some contact information. I will try to find them and post another response in this thread with the information.

Here is one contact. You will need to phone him most likely to get any kind of help. Forest River has a lousy reputation for being customer friendly.
