never park your RV close to a tree !

Actually this is in a permanent spot, but had unexpected results when hurricane Sandy came through and took the tree down !

I can relate! This was our last camper, and the tree was the reason for purchasing our new XLR in July! The storm came in on a Thursday evening. We had been there until Wed that week, and were returning on Sat morning, when one of our friends called us to let us know about our camper!

It was actually kind of a blessing, we were going to sell this one at the end of the season, and buy the XLR in the spring. The insurance gave me a good bit more than I was planning to sell it for!

Sorry about the loss of the trailer but that's good news it worked out for you. Did you leave the bed/tent part open or did it happen during the storm?

It was on a seasonal site, and we were there every weekend. Since we had planned on getting rid of it at the end of the season, we had been leaving the ends open for the summer. It had quite a bit of water damage anyway, from the previous owner, and didn't really figure that leaving them open would hurt anything. It would have made a good hunting camper for someone, but no need to worry about it now!
