New 2015 Silverback Problems

Just picked up 2015 Silverback in Cincinnati on Wed. July 9th.....problems and more problems! Level Up system causes slides to go out....oh no! Water leak in water heater....had to drain all water from holding tank. 6 led lights on ceiling ( only two work). What's next! We thought Forest River was the way to go! Shaking our heads.....what a mistake. This is our 8th rig so we are not new to pulling and having trailers. So many problems and it's only been two days of ownership.

Sounds like you had a very poor dealer, they are supposed to do a PDI and it seems that was not done.

X2 on the dealer. We picked up our 2015 Columbus about 3 months ago from our Lex, KY dealer. We found 1 faulty item during the walk-thru & that item was a improperly wired light switch, that had worked during their PDI. They did share 3 or 4 items that they had corrected during their PDI. I have purchased from previous dealers who basically let you figure out what doesn't work.

Similar PDI experience. Found faulty switch for interior fan/light. Never did figure it out. Put it on record with Cedar Creek customer service. They authorized local repair. We chose to attend the rally. It will be repaired there along with a couple of loose moldings and a nail/screw pop.
Whenever you have an issue, call and document it with Forest River. They do make note. Dealers are mostly well intentioned, however, some techs are better than others.

I had exactly the same problem with the level up system in our 38FL. Dealer had it for three months, said it couldn't be duplicated. There is a whole thread on this issue on the Cedar Creek Forum about 3-4 months ago. I no longer use the one button automatic system because I don't trust it.... Works fine in manual mode. Pity that you pay that kind of money and then can't use the technology. BTW - Lippert was no help. Maybe if they hear from more of us with this issue, they'll admit that there's a problem.
