I think a person can read too much here. We had the ram 1500 already when we went camper shopping. I can't do a truck payment and a camper payment so we decided to pull with the 1/2 ton until we can afford a bigger truck. After pulling the 5th wheel on a 2300 mile round trip from SD to TN I can now say I only want a set of flip out towing mirrors for my 1/2 ton. Sure I put airbags in it, they were way cheaper than a truck and it handles better and I know they doesn't increase my numbers. My buddy said I need a dually and now he's wondering why he has one. I've also had to do some fast manuevers while driving in KC and St. Louis but it does just fine. We also put a 2400# BBQ pit behind the 5th wheel and got 10.5 mpg. I can't speak for the coil sprung rear in your truck as mine is an 08 but you won't have trouble with power.

My friend's EcoBeast, with 3.73 rear, gets 24 mpg Canadian, which is about 20 mpg on a US gallon. It isn't broken in yet, and is still improving. And he drives at 75 mph as well.
