New Flying J in Springfield, MO

Today we checked out the new Flying J travel center that just opened west of Springfield, Missouri. It includes RV lanes. Easy to get to off I-44, Exit 72.

Can it accommodate large trailers pulled by gassers? Does it have dump stations?

Flying J

Yay I love Flying J in that I have never seen one that did not have two RV lanes that make it easy to get in and out for fuel (gas or diesel) I use the Pilot APP to mark them out on my route

I guess Flippin J has conveniences, but if it's anything like the one at Emporia, Kansas ... I can drive down the road less than a mile any time of the year and save 15 to 25 cents a gallon on diesel loyalty card or not. For me ... that removes most all interest in patronizing Flippin J. I double tow, so your ease of access rebuttal won't make any difference to me.

Yes, it can accommodate both gas and diesel vehicles pulling large trailers in the RV lanes. There is also propane available, as well as dump station.

They do have two RV lanes but beware og Idots who park in front of the exit for both lanes. Yes, there are parking allowed there but please, if the public would allow room for long rigs to get to pump and then safely pull out. I had a motor home and car trailer, 70' total length. Getting out of some fuel lines was a treat. Sometimes I would get to the pump and have a clear exit when a 16 passenger van would park in my exit lane. Not fun!

That's not the price.

See the little letters????? "CASH"

Gasoline is same price cash or credit. Diesel no.

I won't stop there unless I have to, which is way too often.

Access is impossible at 65' anymore......some bozo decided all new service stations would have the fuel lanes perpendicular to the road. UGH!

Thankfully that isn't the case all the time; however, we have a 55' overall length and have had to wait for some dork(s) to finish their lunch before we could pull out -- not always at Flying J/Pilot either. Happens everywhere!
