That looks really nice! Is that one of the Versatube structures? I am seriously looking at carports now and the versatube is on the short list, but I am still thinking about a pole barn if I can swing it.

It's the 2 1/2 inch tube frame from Lyons Metal Roofing.

New Home For CC

The tube unit was around $3100.00 with $1300.00 install labor cost. A post was around $4500.00 with $2000.00 labor. The pad site and everything else was around another $1000.00. I am doing most of site prep and grading as I have a small tractor with bucket and blade.

Thanks for the info on cost. I will definitely check out the Lyons structure. It is a good looking structure.

Nice looking structure Brother Forbes.

I have one similar (used differently, I don't park the 5th wheel in it) and the inspectors made them add braces from the uprights to the rafters to meet wind load requirements. (see modified your photo) Added an extra $100 to the cost.

Maybe you are OK at your location but just wanted to mention.

Wow... that sounds really expensive. I paid $2900 installed for a 20x40 foot and thought that was too much.

Something doesn't sound right with those numbers.

They're definitely right. $2,912 to be exact. Only other cost was $500 for the gravel and about $350 to run water and 50 amp electric service. The main difference I see in the OP pix is it has the panels run across the frame while mine are 40 foot single panels run from end to end. I don't know which method is better.

Their reasoning for running the roof panels running vertical is to allow snow to slide off and not pill up on the ridges. I ask about the supports and was told not needed in our area. I may add some just to make sure of support. We had 70 to 80 mph wind last night with no problems.

Thanks for the reply. It makes a lot of sense. We get a whole lot less snow in middle and south Georgia than y'all get up there in Tennessee.
