New RV TT Checkout before pickup

I just bought a FR TT LE 29BHBS. Does anyone have a good inpection check list before I signoff on the new TT at the dealer. I plan to take a day off from work and have them fully connect all services for me to checkout. i will also try to collect info under different weather conditions with the slides out. Your ideas and checklists are appreciated. Have a great day.

Thanks

Phil

I could list a dozen things and miss that many too... but here is a pretty thorough list I just found: http://www.angelfire.com/trek/buenav...PDI_V113_2.pdf

It might mention this, but if not, bring a digital camera... take a pic of any flaws to help illustrate what you found when you cover your list with the dealer.

Basically, check all systems for proper operation...and inpect everything for problems or damage.

Some things you may find after delivery, and may still be under warranty for some time if it's new.

Sometimes, it helps to bring another person to help look things over...especially someone with RV knowledge.

It also helps to ensure the seller shows you how to work everything.

That is a particularly good suggestion!!! Us old farts have an eagle-eye for the tiniest defects.... in other people's trailers at least.

i will use the list you provided, thanks

i emailed it to the dealer so they have it in advance. we havent setup a checkout date yet. I am having some extra items added to the rv so i doubt if we will checkout until feb or march.

i did have some questions for the dealer on the labelled tire load on the camper, about 3596 pounds and the st225/75/15/D is showing a rating of only 2540, i cant really resolve this descrepancy. I am aasking them to explain, their explanation was the supplier wouldnt do anything unsafe, the gross weight of the rv is 11035. i will keep looking for this info to understand i am trying to see what is the correct loading.

BTW, thanks for the chckout info and your ongoing good info for RVers

have a great evening.

phil
