New States in the USA

In our travels of the USA I have to laugh while going thru states with/without front license plate restrictions. I didnt realize that John Deere, 3, Harley Davidson, Retired. were States. Even in states that require front plates,if you have a Corvette,Trans Am, or any vehicle that you deem looks better without a front plate. And people worry about front bike carriers blocking the plate. Youroo!!

Here in mi you see a lot of different ones but you nailed the most popular. A few weeks back I seen one on a old rusty white full size work van and it said Don't laugh your daughter might be in here.

Yes they are, at least in the Soviet of Washington. If the automated toll systems on the toll bridges and the "pay to use" HOV lanes can't get a transducer response, the cameras look at the front plate to determine who should get the bill.

I don't know how they handle out-of-state registrations that are legally here (military), but anyone from a state that doesn't have front plates will probably get a free ride!

We did have on item in the news recently, where a regular commuter got dinged because the transducer system didn't catch his pass thru the toll plaza. It got the license plate number and billed him. He was on an overseas trip at the time and his car was in the long-term parking at SeaTac airport. Turns out the camera had captured a Colorado plate with the same numbers and couldn't tell it wasn't a Washington plate.

If you're a regular commuter on toll roads that use transducers, check your account for "ringers" from other states.
