new to fifth wheels

Hi all Im about to buy a new 2009 Surveyor 306 BH 5er and was wondering if anyone has one or knows of any thing I should look out for in the line since it is no longer being manufactured. I have a 27 salem travel trailer now and have used it for 7 years so im not new to rving just fifth wheels. I have a 2005 dodge ram quadcab longbed turbo diesel so I am not worried about towing abilities. just the functionality of he 5 er any feed back would be appreciated. thanks

I could not agree more with Woody 01.

No more messsing around with the WD hook up and sway bars and there is no comparison in my mind as far as the way a 5er handles vs. a TT.

Don't no anything about the model you referenced but I have not found anything that I don't like about our fifth wheel.

When did Forest River stop manufacturing the Surveyor Line? Surveyor fifth wheels still show up on their website.

I will definately agree that once you pull the 5er you will never want to go back to a TT. The difference is like night and day. You just back up to the pin, lock it in, push the button to lift the front legs and away you go with much more stability and ease in towing. Next to no sway at all, no worrying about when a semi is coming at you whether he'll blow you half way off the road, nothing. IT IS AWESOME!!! No way we would ever go back to a TT.
