New to Forum - Question

I have been lurking on your forum for a couple of months now and have learned a lot from here. I found it when researching travel trailers (Salem) before our recent purchase. Are there any members here who don't own a Forest River product? We looked at a lot of them but found a deal on an R-Vision that we couldn't pass up. I didn't know if I should just continue to lurk rather than posting anything.

Two campers ago we had an R-Vision Trail Cruiser hybrid. Never had a single problem with it in the 2 years we owned it. Then upgraditis set in. No reason why you can't post here. Alot of issues are generic.

Thanks. We got a great deal on a 2014 Trail Lite Trek - our local dealer bought a bunch at auction when they went out of business. No warranty but got it at 50% off of MSRP price so a new trailer at a better than used price. We couldn't pass it up. Did our first trip this past weekend in it and no problems. It is our first travel trailer.

Most are FR owners but there are some members with a non-FR unit. There is a lot of good general information here that can apply to most brands. Some things we might not be able to assist with but I would keep on posting just in case.

yes, anything specific to your model/brand probably won't get much help.
but any general RV/TT questions can get lots of help.

you do know that R-Vision has been out of business for a number of years, right?
so, it's an orphan brand but many items, like fridge/oven/converter and so on, are common on other brands.

Yes, we know they stopped production early last year, the dealer that we bought it from explained everything about it and that they bought these at auction after they shut down and the other company bought the facility and all units that were there. We were looking for a used one so this one was a great deal for us. A new unused trailer at a great price. We figured it was a good first trailer to start with. Everything in it was checked out before we bought it and due to the strange weather here this past weekend we had to use both the AC and Heat in the same weekend and both worked great.

Thank you - after lurking for the past couple of months it seems like a good group here, willing to answer even a beginners somewhat stupid question. I may have a few of those.
