New to RVing and just bought an RV

Hello,
I am pretty new to anything RV-like.

I just bought a 2009 39DB Cherokee. I do not plan on ever moving it. My Civic won't do it well. I am renting a lot. Of course, there is always that possibility that I may have to move one day.

Anyways, my wife misplaced all the manuals. I am a big fan of manuals. But I don't have any to read for my RV now.
It is ok because the manuals I did get with my RV and skimmed over were the microwave/radio manuals.

I didn't get a maintenance/Winterize/moving manual or any generalized information manuals.
I am sure alot of the reason for that is so that I pay someone to do all that stuff, right?
Anyways, usually for products, you can get manuals online.
Why can't I find any manuals for my RV online?

Welcome fellow big rig owner....lol I have a 39BS.

The first thing I would do is contact the dealer where you purchased your RV for the manuals. I have found the manuals to be very useless......all of the information was vague and general.

So, how do you come by the knowledge on how to maintain your RV?
I don't remember it saying anything about it in the manuals.

welcome aboard
as for manuals got to each items website like dometic, and download the care and feeding ones, FR site has a few but pretty vague.

common sense will go a long way
outside it needs to be washed and waxed like a car, i wax mine once a year and the front cap about every trip
the whole thing top to bttom gets washed with a good quality car soap about once a month

no harse chemicasl in the toilet, it dries out the rubber seals
little mineral oil or castrol oil once a month in the toilet bowl and sink drains will help keep the vavles lubbbed up
if you sotre in in winter, DRAIN all the lines and then put in some RV anitfreeze during layup
this includes draining anf bypassing the water heater, I put some in the water heater anyway if she is empty during cold times,
i know we have a good list somewher, i just cant find it now
but ask away , lots of good folks her to get you through it

oh if your site has trees overhanging the rig
you need to trim the dead or looses one away, they will puncture the rubber roof very easy, plus let ants and other critters have a direct free fall entry to vent
