I'd get a 1000/10000 (aka "10K") Equalizer weight distributing hitch.

I agree with rockfordroo, this will work great for you. Buy it online, not from your local dealer unless they price match.
Ps, I used this exact hitch for 3 years, tows real nice.

Don't forget you need the Equal-i-zer brand ball with this hitch.

I just sold one of those after upgrading from travel trailer to fifth wheel. It was a great hitch and it is working great on food truck trailer. I saw several on craigslist when I was trying to find out what to sell mine for in the 200-250 range.

Also get a locking pin to attach it. I had someone steal a hitch from the back of truck once.

Try etrailer.com. great selection and price.

I am happy with the older style WDH with chains. Got a really great price from them.

Got my WDH off EBay. I think it's an EZ brand. Works great.

Where are you located? I've got an Equalizer 10k that I just swapped out for a 14k. Just haven't put it up for sale yet because I don't want to ship it.

Yes, to heavy. You'll want a 10,000 /1000.

question

Some people say 1200 some 1000.
the TT loaded is 7800
TW is 815,
but when I load my ttruck for example 500 lbs between my family weight and maybe couple of things
do I need to consider that or, 1000 is enough?

The 14000 will work fine on your tt. I have the same set up and about 1000# tw. TT is right at 9000 loaded. Later RJD
