I use 2 honda 2k generators. I use both when running the 15K AC unit and only 1 when watching TV or using the microwave or charging the battery. At 50 lbs each they're easy to carry and if one needs servicing you have the other to use.

That's what I needed to know. I am thinking the Honda 7000 watt Generator. I am thinking this should get the job done.

Honda does make a 7KW unit that is EU quiet and gas. I suspect you could get by with it if your careful on whats on at same time. And a heck of a lot cheaper than the Onan.

I run 2 Honda 2000's in parallel Quiet and fuel efficient. I have 50amp service on my 5vr and use a dog bone to get it down to 30 amp. You just have to manage the power usage... no problem.

Are you going to perm mount it in your TT? It's not real portable. As most of the opinions state, they go with either a smaller pair that they can parallel together or a medium one.

I have a yamaha, granted it's the 2400ishc but it did run my 13.5 ac fine! And better then my 3k kipor! If I really need more I would have done the ef2000is combo. Go yamaha!

You said you had two AC units. Just to be clear you should be able to run a single AC with a 30A unit but be careful what else you try to run at the same time. You will not be able to run two ACs with a 30 A service.

My coach has a 50A service shore power cord, when only 30A is available I can only run one of the two AC units at a time. If I want to run the microwave, I turn the AC off.

I also have a Onan QG 5500 generator built in and though I didn't think it would do so, it will run both ACs for me on a hot day. I turn one off when I want to use the microwave though I think it might run both ACs and the microwave without an issue.

Just out of curiosity, what does that unit weigh? I suspect it might do a fine job but would be impossible or impractical to take along on a camping trip.

I have a 17,500w portable generator for the house, (our power goes out regularly) but it weighs 400 pounds including the cart it rides on. It is a struggle to get it in position to connect to the house.

I can run the house with that much power.

I am running both AC's on 30 amp shore right now in my 832ikbs with no issue. Granted it's only getting up to about 90 right now. I believe when it gets hotter there may be more load and 30 amp might not support both running. Be aware that when first hooked up your trailer inverter can pull a pretty good load for charging the house battery for a bit. This can limit your ac usage options also I think.
I use propane for the water heater and sometimes the fridge as well to reduce load. It makes a huge difference having both units running at least for the initial cool down of the trailer.

When I bought this trailer I went thru buy mode and thought I needed some huge generator. I ended up with a yamaha 3000is inverter generator that has served us well when needed. With the genie I cannot run both AC's.

As Roll stated the microwave use needs to be considered as well when on 30 AMP.

Well I guess I can only comment on what my experience has been. It could be the size of the AC units or some other difference. I can run both on 50A, one on 30A and can't run either one on 20A service.

All you can do is try and see what happens. If you hear the compressor trying to start but can't seem to get going, shut the unit down before you do damage.
