Your battery may not hold a charge very well now seeing as it went completely dead. Put a "smart charger" on it for a few days and see if it will take a charge. Charging by shore power may or may not fully charge it, depends on the converter amperage and condition of the battery.
It is a good idea after it is fully charged to put a trickle charger on the battery if storing it for any length of time.
