newbie with a Question , go figure lol

i have a question about this, is this an antenna or a satelite dish, never had one with this an i m wondering any help would be appreciated!

It is an antenna.

RV's normally come from the factory with an antenna.

ETA: Just saw the pic- it does look like a satellite to me. Did you buy the rig used? It might have been installed by the previous owner.

IF it is a dish you will need the receiver.

Really like the cable ran in the vent pipe..lol..whatever works.

I wouldn't do it myself, but I don't really see an issue that would be a cause of concern. Again assuming that the hole inside is sealed.
