Talking Nightmare Repairs

We've been trying to get our side panel fixed since last July. We had a blow out that took out the side. It's been awful and CW has had our TT since July, parked in an unsecured area of their lot. it took two months and climbing the GS ins ladder to get approval. Once we got past the original agent and her boss, thing were rectified that day!
Then it has taken the rest of the time trying to get the side panel. I finally had had enough and called FR Corporate. They responded immediately even though it was the week of New Years.
Ty Miller, the GM at the Rialto Forest River plant called me and has been so very helpful! He's gone way out of his way to make this all come together.
Thank you Ty Miller of Forest River RV's!

Glad Mr. Miller and FR has been able to help you out!
Sorry about your camper and that time table.
This is the kind of stuff that really makes me think about having an independent RV and boat repair /collision center (s). If someone is more concerned about service than unit sales and has a good turnaround time, i think they could be successful. Im sure it would be way better than customers having to wait months like yours, just sitting at the dealer.
Good luck with the rest of your current situation!!

I think anyone who cares about repairs and service would have it made in the shade! If they care AND have competent trained help... that's the key in my opinion.
Good luck~

Did you have any other choices than Campers World? They are the worst. They are taking over the industry and have the worst reputation.

Never hear too many good things about Camping World. Hopefully you can find somebody-anybody- else if you need service. My friend had a new fridge installed at CW; he had to pay shipping from one CW to the one he was at. WTF?!?

Is your RV at CW in Redlands? Hopefully the Rialto (or Helmet) plant can do the repair work promptly. I'm from the IE area too. Maybe our paths will crossed someday once you get out camping again.

Yes, our TT is at the Redlands/San Bernardino CW. I did ask GS Ins if we have to use CW in the future and they said 'no'. I'm going to have to go back and ask for a list of repair shops they allow. However, hopefully we wont need insurance repairs again!

Terier, maybe someone should try to get a FR group together in the Spring?

There's is one coming up in Helmet during Memorial Day weekend. Check the Rally Zone/FROG Events Forum here on this site for more information. http://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/f211/ And FROG should have it listed as well on their site too.

A group of us got together at Calico Ghost Town this past October which was really fun. Someone from the group is working on a rally/campout at the beach too.
