Sitting aside the number of nights camped, the number of trips I am able to take is pretty closed to what I had visualized.

Great choice for "Living within my means" and camping for one...

DW and I are both in education, so we routinely manage 10 weeks away during the summer (except this last year due to medical issues). Next longest trip is Xmas for about 2 weeks, then Thanksgiving, then Columbus Day ......etc, etc. I think we get our moneys worth out of out TT, and our moneys worth in relaxation.

spend with the family on vacation vs going the hotel route.

plus, the hotel gets kinda testy when you build a camp fire in their lobby ... just sayin

I currently have 97 nights reserved in 2013. No, I'm not retired. I work full time for a major telecom company. Outside sales; work from home ...and home can be anyplace with good cellular coverage - like my favorite state park on the CT shore! :-)

We are retired and what I call like to call, "reverse snowbirds". We live in Arizona and vacate to cooler climates in the summer so generally about 120 days per year.

We are camping a minimum of one week out of each month - plus other occasional weekend trips and two or three trips to the coast each year - so we're in the 90+ nights per year category. We're over 1/4 of our time in the Columbus.

Fortunately I work from "home" and I define "home" as wherever my pillow is...whether it be home on wheels or my brick and mortar home on 5-acres.
