I have a chevy 3500 DRW with 6.6 duramax with the 6spd Allison. I love this truck. I would like to see a Dodge with the Cummins and the Allison 6 spd, but as long as they keep putting in cheap Asians, it will never happen. So, chevy it is!

Just saying, Chevy driver for years and a whole lots of miles, but we love our 3/4 ton ram. Great truck and easy about town when need be.

Rent a truck and enjoy your weekend. Maybe you have a friendly dealership that will let you try before you buy?
And yet another reason I don't so at Sam's a club or wally world.
Good luck.

Sorry for your lose.

I use to own Chevy's had four of them until the new 6.7L Cummins engine came out in the Ram. My son who was a Ford guy had three of them with the last one having the 7.3L Powerstroke in it. He bought a 2006, 5.9 Cummins Ram Crew Cab and talked me into the Cummins and Ram, I was looking at the Duramax. Never could find the powerstroke engine in the Ford trucks just a bunch of tubes and wiring.

I would not buy anything else after owning my 2008; Ram Mega Cab and the 6.7L Cummins engine.

Now a little trick to help prevent theft on any diesel truck is to put a kill switch at the fuel pump. They can still use a tow truck to steal the vehicle but you can't drive the vehicle if hot wire, won't start.

What is a ASIANS? Never seen that in a RAM truck never every!

Due you mean the AISIN transmission which is a medium duty truck transmission; which Ram started using in 2013.5 and up. Which is being used on the best pulling truck with the highest SAE rated pulling numbers of the big three.

X2... wish I had.

Oh and BTW... Ram calls their power plant CUMMINS, which it is. Chevy calls theirs Duramax which is American for ISUZU, ha-ha

Probably a good motor but why the name change??

I had a Ford 1 ton Super Duty King Ranch back when I had my 41footer dropped down to a new 38 ft Prime time got tired of paying the extra money for the insurance just because it was a 1 ton so dropped down to a new Ford Super Duty King Ranch 3/4 ton and added air bags same moter 6.7 deisel pulls great only have to put 25 lbs of air in the bags to level the truck back out dont even know the trailer is back there and the insurance premiums dropped.

If it rides like a Chevy, runs like a Ford and pulls like a Dodge, it must be the ultimate truck................

Ejs4029: You obviously haven't been on this forum long enough to know that you should NEVER ask about which brand of truck to buy.

So here's my warning: There are (at least) 4 can-of-worms subjects on this forum:

1. Gas vs Diesel
2. Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge (vs Toyota, et al)
3. Bike racks on TT's
4. Air vs nitrogen in tires

Stolen TV

Sorry to hear that news. I'm sure by now your truck is in pieces being sold to scumbags who buy stolen auto parts. Did On-Star do a search for the vehicle ?

stolen tv

Pretty hard to beat an, 06 LBZ with a 6 speed ally. Sounds like someone was looking for a specific vehicle.

Curious? How did they manage to steal it/ Most new vehicles are hard to start without the key.
