I guess you did not see the happy face. He was being sarcastic buy naming all the brands that make 3/4 ton trucks. As was said and quoted by me he was not looking for advice but you can't stop giving it.

We have the GMC 3500HD Sierra Denali with Duramax diesel and Allison Transmission. Great to ride in and pulls like a dream. GMC suppose to be having some good sales on models that "have been on the lot too long". We also have chevy Siverado 2500 HD gasser; its nice to ride in and tows well. I prefer the GMC. Have towed TT and Horse trailer with both with no problems.

The end of the world when misguided truck buyer buy a FIAT owned Truck division manufacturer with no less a Japanese transmission!! Nothing wrong with a Fiat 500 or a Toyota Tundra buy mixing the two seems a bit dangerous!

I'm a dodge guy but you wouldn't go wrong with any of the 3. Here's a thought. If you decide on a 1 ton and brand, wait until the end of October into November. The transport companies in Indiana tell new drivers how many trailers there are to haul and how much money they are going to make so a lot of new drivers go out and buy new trucks. But the companys DON'T tell them that things will completely slow down at the end of July. Many drivers don't budget for this and in a couple of months they are forced to sell their trucks. If you can wait and do a little poking around you may find a sweet deal on a fully decked out truck. Just a thought.

Don't forget the Italian engine as well. Wife would never let me buy a Ford after hers caught fire.

Nothing gets a thread going like a what's best type of argument. I have always been a GM guy mostly because my BIL works for them and I get a great discount.
I don't think you can go wrong with any of the big three. Gas or diesel is a entire other argument that has been beat like the proverbial dead horse. I have friends that have all three and they are all very happy with them. All are quality and with the correct equipment will tow what you want. I sure would have a hard time telling anyone what to buy. Shop around find a deal and go camping.
