No power bedroom or at Dometic panel
HELP. can anyone offer me some help?
I do not have bedroom lights and no power at heating and ac panel. I just took out of storage. The 15 amp fuse is blown for bedroom lights. If replace fuse it blows right away. Where do I need to look first. Supposed to be going to Florida late next week with it. Any help here would be great! I am sorry the camper model I guess would help much. It is a 2017 Forest River 26rr toyhauler

That could be any # of things. Is this a Trailer or a MH. Is the bedroom in a slide? There should be more lights involved that just the bedroom. Turn off or remove all effected light blubs. Disconnect the 12 volt at the panel. Turn off bath vent fan. 12 volt ceiling fan?

Is the fan switch off? Living area fan working. It's just a process of elimination. Find out EVERTHING that does not work. Then you need to think about where the middle of this circuit might be and separate it. If it doesn't work after separation the problem is between there and the panel. Then separate the front 1/2 of the circuit in the middle and try again.
I'll ask again. is there a slide involved?

cavie, I added Cherokee Grey Wolf to the OP's unit description and I think I can answer the question you have asked. No, the floorplan shows the unit has no slide-out.
Looks to me like his unit is probably a
Forest River Cherokee Grey Wolf toy hauler 26RR.

mikegernes, you would be getting the help you need if you'll answer cavie's questions. cavie was a master electrician until retirement cut his power.

Fan is powered off. It does not work period. We only have the one fan. The ac/heater control do not power up. Where does that wire run. The bedroom lights do not power up. Where does that wire come from?

If you just took it out of storage, and you have an unexplained "dead short to ground" (which is what would generally blow the fuse like you describe), you probably had something crawl inside the belly and chew on some wires while in storage. You are going to end up having to trace those wires back towards the fuse panel until you find the point that is grounding out on the frame. Not fun work. Do you have an area where you could unscrew and perhaps peek inside to look for anything obvious in that part of the unit?

I cannot provide much help on the routing of the wires but you did say that you just took it out of storage. Is it possible you had a mini visiter who liked the plastic on the wires?? Mouse or sqirrel? That is a problem I had and I just kept blowing fuses until I finally found where my visitor had lived. Straight short. Electrical tape and problem solved. Good luck.

Loose ground will not cause fuses to blow. It is the opposite. You probably still have another issue (unless that was the hot lead and not the actual ground).

See post # 12. The OP reported he found the problem in the post just before yours.

Thanks for coming back and letting us know what you found and how you fixed it.
Since it was a loose ground, I'd suggest you go around and check all the grounds you can find and clean and tighten them.
