Last year when our pop up needed the WFCO converter replaced I called 4 RV dealers in the Calgary, Alberta area and every one of them had a 3-4 month waiting list for RV service as I did not purchase it from them. If I had, it would be within a week to get it serviced.
When we purchased our new Geo Pro this year, we picked the dealer based on reviews and after sale servicing. Time shall tell...

Smart thinking - One needs service after the sale and not a sale, collect the money and then "Good-bye!" when it comes to service.

I find service is often needed when far from the selling dealer anyway, so I am always on the the lookout for good mobile techs on my route or at my destination. Even my selling dealer is a long wait.

Makes sense if you are full time and different campgrounds around the country. I often see mobile repair service in campgrounds, but when the camper is new and warranted, it still is best to take it back to the dealer.

That depends on the dealer's service department. It was lousy, I would happily use an independent RV shop or mobile RV tech.

I view the Forum frequently without logging in. Do you consider this type of viewing as inactivity also? I log in only for posting purposes. Thank you

No sir I am not. I am curious how you would know if a user has returned to the forum? Everyone does not necessarily log in to read.

It would have helped if I had written “has not returned to respond to his thread”.

To be honest, if you don't log in, we don't know you are here.
But we do get a lot of threads that are started and then the OP never returns to follow up or comment on any of the advice given.
Not that there's a problem with that. We just usually try to point this out when someone bumps a months or even years old thread offering some help or advice that the OP will likely never see.
Interestingly enough, the OP for this thread was actually here just a couple of days ago.

Or wait for a bunch of stuff and take it back to the factory.

Not if you live on the West Coast.
