Clearly some people know how to order from Forest River and some don't. I want to be part of the "in crowd."

Just because he just joined and just posted doesn't mean that the event he described just happened. He has a 2016 model, meaning he could have purchased it as early as Spring 2015 (3 yrs ago), and he could have ordered the part he needed from FR anytime between then and when they changed their policy last year. He never said when it happened.

It's not General RV is it? Second thought it probably isn't since they have had your camper now for 2 weeks. General RV looks at it works it and if you need parts you get to haul it back home until the part comes in. This has happened to me twice. I have a Prime Time Sanibel and i actually get more help email Prime Time on line.

Scheinin,
I've no complaint with Chesaco RV sales or repairs, but then I go to their Frederick MD office.

After buying my Georgetown I quicky discovered that even though there was a service department all they're interested in is unit sales. Try to locate a reputable independent service shop in your area ( word of mouth or FR Forum) . Forget about the dealer all you're going to get from them is agrivation

He posted the story on 6/8 but I don't get the idea it was a current story. Seems like the event could have happened some time ago.

EDIT: Oops... I see rockfordroo has already done this detective work.
