Not unhooking on level spots
Do you guys ever leave the trailer connected to the TV when at a site for a short period of time? Just this past weekend I brought my new travel trailer to a coworkers property for a company bbq and when i backed it into the spot he had me in, the trailer was just about perfectly level (bubble was just hitting the line on a 3' level so maybe a 1/8" on 36"). Since it was just overnight, I simply brought the front up slightly to relieve the weight on the TV and dropped the stabilizers. Obviously a quick overnight trip isn't a big deal, but would doing this for a longer term cause ill effects on either the trailer, the tow vehicle, or the weight distribution hitch? Thanks.

We stay connected to the TV, especially when traveling straight through and leaving early the next morning.

If its level and a one nighter we leave it hooked up except for the umbilical cord.

Several times! We travel south every winter. Rarely do we unhook from the TV. I don't like waking the family next door when leaving early. And, yes drop the front jacks to stabilize the TT.

We have been out on weekend trips before and not unhooked if we knew we weren't going to be leaving the campground.

Great! I just wanted to make sure that it wouldn't cause any issues (forgot to mention that we will be disconnecting the power cord when plugging in). I figured that as long as the weight was taken off the TV it shouldn't hurt it, but I'm still new to this so I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Just don't jack up too much that you end up lifting the TV and you should be fine.

I go up just enough to where I see slack on the tongue latch (knowing that it is just off the TV but not pulling up). Thanks!

You did everything right 
In fact, you can park on a unlevel site as long as you are not putting the slides out

On overnight stops as long as I am level, I don't bother to disconnect. But I do put down the jacks to kill the bounce.

No slides to worry about, but also can't stand sleeping at any kind of angle... lol.
