Not happy with your purchase over a simple step???? Are you serious??? Look if you want to pay several grand more for a trailer from another manufacturer to get a double step then by all means. Specifications on RVs change ALL the time and even the brochures will tell you this. IF you want a double step then pay $75 and put one on yourself, but don't come around here complaining about how horrid FR is because of a STEP, there are others here with WAY more serious problems with their rigs that have ROOM to complain.

Ourselves and countless others here are very happy with FR and their service, thank you very much!

If you read the fine print in the brochure, it will say subject to change. Not only for Forrest River, but others also. Car manufactures also. In this world we have today, all things are subject to change daily as plants close, suppliers shut down, etc. If you have a complaint, it should be about your dealer. They should have cut you a deal on swapping the step.

At least the manufacturers put it in writing! You need to read everything not just the interesting parts. Do you think our elected officials would be where they are if they actually told the truth during their campaigns?

Example: " As I stand before you today I promise that every American will Pay No More New Taxes " but once I'm elected all bets are off!!!!

Everything that has been said above is true, Rv Manufactures can change anything and everything at any time with out notice and it is in small print. I have an 06 Rockwood and after I bought it Forest River made 6 different changes during the same production year. So welcome to the RV world, and to FRF.

Rhansel, don't know if you realize it or not, but RV's are made up of well over a dozen different manufacturer's parts that are supplied to Forest River to build campers. If the part manufacturer goes bankrupt, they must find a different supplier for that part, hence; the change on your unit. However, the purchasing dealer should look at their resources of parts suppliers, and find you some replacement steps at a discounted price. That's just good business practice, and common courtesy, in my opinion. BUT it's not Forest River's fault! My 2 cents worth!
