It takes over 5 weeks to set up and we use over 5 miles of SPT wire and cords. We have two 200 amp outside boxes that supply power and 45 computer control units with 1 network of DMX control. We accept contributions that are giving to a local food bank. The first thing people ask is how much my electric bill goes up and I always tell them "not enough to surpass the pleasure of seeing a kids smile" we love Christmas and enjoy the lights. If anyone is bored come on by and I will be happy to let you wrap some trees or hang some of the 50,000 lights on the house. LOL.
Well we do lights too but not that many - we only have about 75000 lights and all run off house - no extra power needed - all LED though. No music or synchronization - plain classic light up the ranch !
Just got all 18 totes out of shed this weekend to get started - yes 12 of them are those huge totes !!!
Our house has about three acres with frontage and rear view from a state highway so we do all the trees in yard as well as house and bushes
We rent a lift to put lights in the huge locust tree in front yard
We skipped putting them up last year to help kids renovate their house and got lots of flack from everyone we know on WTH - no lights??
Just a kid at heart and do it because we know that we enjoy the JOY that everyone else gets from seeing them !
