I tend to use the forum as a way to get me over the urge to be out in our Sunseeker. Although there are posts that inspire me, I've been known to jump out of bed to go check something after I've read some posts. My sweet wife rolled her eyes when I suggested I needed a line in our budget for FRF ideas and suggestions.

After reading your posts about how much time you spend in your RV, I have to wonder if your freedom to do so is with your wife's blessings and approval? Or even with some planning on her part to get you out of the house

We just finished a three day weekend, (Columbus Day) in massachusetts, got home around 4:00PM Monday, backed the RV in it's spot. Cleaned up, put a few things away, emptied the fridge and un-hooked the truck. Had dinner, went to bed, got up at 2:30 in the morning the next day and flew to Fort Myers to stay at our house down here in beautiful SWF. Today on the way home from Bass Pro Shops, I stopped at an RV Dealer just to look at RV's because I haven't seen mine for four days. Now I am wondering if I might have a problem. I might go to Camping world tomorrow.

There are different forms of this phenomena. For me, it is my antique Ford tractors!

Lol

We both love the RV. She grew up in one.

I cannot believe you guys are this hooked on your RVs! I would never be so captivated by my Sandpiper. Well, maybe a little bit. I don't think I could stand storing my baby at some cold, dark, lonely storage facility with RVs that it doesn't know and where some strange person it does not know may walk by and touch it...haha. You guys know what they say, "the only difference in men and boys is the price and size of their toys". This is why I love this forum so much. I can interact with a bunch of RV junkies like myself.

Not obsessed with it, but sure enjoy making a few minor mods to it.

Yes Gasman I have done that! I would go pick up the camper and before I take the cover off I'm on the bed thinking about the trip! We all should sell everything and hit the road.

I wouldn't be able to handle having my RV in storage away from home. It would be kinda like your dog being in the pound.

I was the same way with our boat. I thought I would never get rid of our 40' cabin cruiser. You can only drive around the lake so much. That's the great part of the RV, the only limits you have are the roads and where they go. So for the most part its endless.

Not to high jack my own thread but what's the farthest someone has driven their RV? I mean theoretically you can drive to Alaska and attempt to cross into Russian and keep going, right?

With the one we have now, only five hours away. Next year is a different story, we are planning a six week trip to who knows where.

When we had a Class A the longest was Mass to Myrtle Beach and back

Endless is for sure and everywhere, except for parkways with low bridges.

Good idea, never mind Goshen, let's all go to Russia. Then we cAn start a new countdown and instead of 10,000 daily "Thanks Phrank" posts to sort through, we can have just a few "thanks Chris"

My wife tells everyone that I have a support group...referring to this forum. But she does appreciate my RV knowledge gained from here.

For sure I have gained knowledge from this group. It's nice to have a core group of people that all have the same common hobby.

I just got in from a 10 hour day of wedding photography. Totally exhausted but instead of going in our home I head to the 3170DS and tinker for a bit. Kids are sitting on the top bunk over the cab playing the WII

I love being in the camper, frequently if a heavy rain would start up my wife would have a drink ready for me as I would run for the door. Nothing I like more than the sound of rain on the camper roof. I just traded in the jayco for a new flagstaff 5ver and it's waiting in the dealers lot till I can use it. For now I have to make due with the manual and this forum. I miss her so badly and I barely know her!

My dog and I love taking a nap or just reading in our rv Sunny, whenever we get a chance, which isn't that often.

When my camper is at 'home' I have it on blocks in the front A arm, 4 on both sides, then obviously 3 on the tongue jack. My driveway isn't level, so I don't really get a chance to live in it. I'd much rather be on level surface.

My kids love the RV also. I work from home and will find myself working out of the RV often.
