Take a look at the Vengeance 40D12 at Economy RVs spot when you get there. Make sure its OK. That's ours.

We pick it up hopefully next Friday. I don't like buying a unit that was in a show but it was by far the best deal.

we went today, alot of very similar floor plans -they all start to blend together. alot of 5th wheels, bigger TTs, and class A's but not much in the popup/Aframe/small TT.
One interesting one was a Keystone with a very different dinning table option, it was more of a bar height with three tall chairs on one side and a tall bank seat on the other and it was right next to the front door and across from the kitchen. And there was a Montana 5th (i think) that had a midship kids room with a sofa and TV area and one fold down bed - but it had a bed over top of this room that was accessed from the hallway leading to the front master bed. It was tagged as winning the RV of the year award. I did really like a conversion van (winnebago) that was on a dodge chassis - It had a nice "large" bath along the back and it felt very roomy. More so than those on the Mercedes chassis that we also saw.
Saw some TTs that had front bedrooms that felt more like those in a 5th wheel master bedroom in that they turned the bed side to side in a slide out or they had wardrobes on a slide.
Another Montana had a rear slide that was a back office area/kids room - it had a sofa with a bunk overhead on the back wall and a desk/tv area across from it. If I was working from the camper - that one would really fit the bill.
gee - it seems that ones that were the most noteworthy were not forest river products.

The one with the side patio? It was sitting there and alot of people were going in and out of it. Do a really good walk through of it when you go to pick it up.
It does look cool.

I'll bet at least a 1,000 people walk through popular units at the shows... In comparison our used TT looked like it had only been out a couple times & we were able to pick it up for 25% less than new (wholesaler) prices. IMO the units at the show should be marked-down considerably but the most we could negotiate was $1,000 less than non-show units... IMO not worth the risks...

My concern with the Vengeance 40D12 is the number of people who crammed onto the drop-down patio... IMO too much weight could do some real damage so you might want to inspect the mechanics of the patio very carefully during the PDI...

My three year old jumped on the patio for ya to make sure it is nice and strong... Just kidding!

I will say, I did not check out the Mohos, not interested in them so we bypassed them.

Not many smaller or medium sized 5ers, lots of monsters and many many toy haulers. We were glad to see many bunk models including the one 5er with the mid ship bunk house. It was very cool. Lots of people and many floor plans that all looked the same minus some different badging.

We were slightly delayed in getting to the show. Today was the funerals for the two deputies killed so they had the whole area shut down for the procession. It was sad, but good to see all the support for the officers.

I am glad we went and gave us some things to look at and keep in mind when it comes time for a new TT. I will say, nothing really impressed me enough that I regret our 26DBh... Turns out this really is the best trailer for our camping style.

Speaking of layouts of the new fifth wheels etc.....I remember seeing a fifth wheel that had a rear bunkhouse with a loft in it that the kids could climb up and sleep up top....I have never seen a trailer like it since...does anyone know what happened to this design??

I attended the funeral as I am a local LEO. I saw at least two vehicles representing Chester Co. I met a few folks who like you had wanted to go to the show but chose to view the procession and wait for traffic to clear. Not much one can do when it is all stop and it takes time for the recovery.

My last trip to the Timonium show five years back I made the mistake of taking a blank check. Wound up trading my ROO21SS for a Sunseeker. I hate when that happens! It's cheaper just to read the forums!

I just got back from MD RV show. Luckily I did not see anything better than I have right now without having to upgrade toy vehicle. There was a nice grand design toy hauler that had unique design but it was a heavy beast 15000 dry weight.

I went to the NC show in Raleigh Saturday. No Montana's there which surprised me. No Berkshires either. I did see a really cool grand design momentum Toy hauler. It was the only fiver that had me considering a trade. Good news, price was far enough out of our bracket that we didn't even feel a need to consider it. This one had a front living room floor plan with an elevated rear master bedroom that sat over a small garage in the rear big enough for a small golf cart or 1 motorcycle. Loved it.

There was also a jayco with an elevated rear living floor plan that had a ton of outside rear storage.

I saw some cool mid bunk models. I liked the ones that had a top bunk accessed off the hall near the bathroom and then a small room with a sofa and flip down bunk accessed through the kitchen. DD would have loved this if she was with us yesterday.

That grand design floor plan is at the MD show too. It was quite a unit.

Yup it is a heavy triple axle beast.... New dually truck or maybe even MDT territory there.

I went to the show today. It was a very good experience. It was packed with RV's. Saw a few that I wanted to check out.

I haven't been to many shows but this was the best one yet. My only complaint was that there were so many units in there that at times it was hard to work my way around the other visitors.

A moment of paranoia on the way home northbound on 95, last toll in MD. Signs say to get in left lane for EZ Pass. At the toll booths the EZ Pass lanes are marked for cars only. Rather than cause a demolition derby by crossing 6 or 7 lanes of fast approaching traffic I went thru the cars only booth.

If you go next weekend try The Original Strudel Factory's offerings.

If you have never been to the Hershey RV Show, you should go. It's not as crammed in and a lot more organized by brand and types. A lot more vendors set up in the giant center.

Thanks, I seem to always miss the Hershey show. I have been trying to get there for years. My wife choose the MD show, she had her choice.

Next time Hershey.
