X2 on the Strongback chairs. Very comfortable and support my back. They have two different sizes.

Up Front: These chairs weight 20# each BUT...man are they comfy.
We keep these at camp - if we need to go someplace and BYOC we grab the cheepo bag chairs

Love the PICO chairs, comfortable, easy to transport and store.
Folds down to size of a laptop bag.

I like to nap in a chair and most do not make that possible....It is a real crap shoot.....another BIG problem is storing them. Some are just way too heavy and take a lot of space to store....We have some chairs that we have had for probably 20 + 25 years......

x2 on both posts. Sometimes I will use a little step stool with a folded towel as a foot rest.

Trying to get up out of the bag chairs ended about 2 years ago when we purchased 2 directors chairs with the fold down side tables. I can now push down on the arms and get my butt up and going. Would also suggest that you get one with the full back, not the half back, especially important if small kids want to sit in one and fall through the back. Purchased at Kmart for around $40.

Just like many here, over the years we have had many different types of Chairs. Still have the directors chairs, those are nice with the fold down side table.
We have the oversized bag chairs that we carry in the TT storage compartment as well. They too are very comfy....... but, recently we took the plunge and bought the Zero Gravity Chairs and love them immensely. They do come in different widths, and weight limits, so have to be careful to get ones that are comfortable for your size.
Perfect for relaxing, lounging, napping, campfire gazing, sipping a cool one, napping, oh I said that twice....
I do agree that they are a bit heavier and bulky, so we just lay them on our dinette when it is folded down and they travel very well there.
A bit more pricier, but a great investment comfort wise.

I've wanted to try a Strongback Chair for a while, but have a super hard time justifying the $100 price tag. https://www.strongbackchair.com/
Our most recent chairs are the Comfortsmart Chairs from Coleman:
Coleman - comfortable camping chair - coleman camp
I like these better than any other chair. The downside is that they don't fold down very small.
My true favorite is a campchair that Sams Club sold 15-20 years ago. They were sturdy and well made. Unfortunately, I can't find them anywhere any more. If I did, I'm betting I'd buy enough to fill a basement and would just swap them out every 10 years.

The thing about this particular Coleman chair is the cupholder accommodates a stemmed wine glass. That was a deal-maker for us.

We have the Browning camp chairs without trays and really like them for sturdiness, comfort and solid support. Many times we gather at a fellow camper's site and have drinks and snacks. Saw this same chair with a telescoping tray, so ordered two. Very sturdy and solid on uneven ground and no problems with the trays not locking into position. They collapse to about 6" width, so storage is a breeze.

DW likes her director's chair but I like my Gander Mountain zero gravity chair. Just the thing for a book, a beer, a nap or a campfire.
It's Bella the Camping Kitty's favourite outside chair too...
... but she's okay with sharing.
This is my second one. I made a lot of repairs to the first, until it finally gave up in spectacular fashion. The second one seems to be better made.

Whatever chair you get try for one with screening in the seat.
The water then doesn't sit.

I have a 10 year old Ozark Trail version of that that I love. It does not sag like the newer chairs and it is only a little bigger that a regular bag chair. I only have one left.

We call these HMA chairs (you have to camp with the PHat PHrogs to find the meaning), but we all have them and there is a reason behind it. Same reason we all have a GMG Davey Crockett grill, because it works!

A couple of these have served us well for a decade so far ... they will ultimately wear out, but quite pleased.
They sit a little "higher" than some others, so getting in and out is kind of easy on the knees.
Fold-down is flat, not into a bag, but they fit into the pass-thru storage compartment and on top of other "stuff" with ease.
Originally came from Costco.

Got mine at Cabela's! One for the DW and one for me! We love them! They sell a regular width and a XXL wide. They were on sale around the holidays last year. I think the price was under $40 each!
