My wife only looks at the RV's and not the cheque book. It's all in fun anyways. Enjoy.

Not me. When I buy I don't bother looking at what's new. I also try to "use it up" if I can. My last TT lasted me 22 years and looked just fine to me.

I might add a gadget here or a "whiz-bang" there but don't worry about what new models have.

I'm the same way with vehicles too. Recently retired my wife's car that was 25 years old and was still in near showroom condition. My tow vehicle is 13 years old.

There's a nice feeling about owning your vehicles outright.

Yep. Bought Forester in Feb and been looking since. Mostly for ideas for mods and what we want to live in when we retire. No intention of swapping yet but looking and watching going RV and big time rv provides some ideas is what is out there or some tweaks we may want to do to current one.

I thought I was the only one that did that😄
Bought 2017 Georgetown 364TS and looked for about a year off and on. Had 2004 toy hauler 6 years and only used 6 times. Always working. In my job I can work from home if I has some help when I need it! Bought from MHS and they were great but rv sat on their lot for 6 Months probably in that desert heat. Had top recaulked because of leak by front right window fan. We started wondering if we made a mistake. But everything else has been wonderful. But the day I picked it up I was admiring the better Full paint colors of other models but with 2 full baths and King size master with bunk beds and full size frig and convection microwave and 5 tvs we are still sure we made right decision. It seems from everything I see all over the web All RV's have their issues! But I am using it every month and will take really good care of it. But still look at every RV We see on the road from trailers to the Prevosts. Glad I am not the only one😄 Thanks for letting me know!

Always looking, always learning

Sometime in your life when you are RVing . . . you'll get questions. I like to keep looking, to keep learning so I might have the answers or at least be able to steer them in the right direction. Last week I was looking at a unit in a local dealership and a customer was there looking for the first time. I was able to help answer questions that a lot of salesmen don't know. Enjoy your travels . . .

Ok who else is guilty of this ?

I remember when the RV manufacturers went to the rounded interior corners/walls. I didn't like that so it kept a few years out for me. On our old unit we would look and be happy with what we had. Now? I dunno I see and wish.
I think I want a rear kitchen and front living 5er...wife said good luck with that. I will prolly keep this one for a while. Kids growing up and soon will be mostly us so less is more.

We saw the center BH 5ers and really liked them...they were more than we wanted to spend.

DW says I'm never happy with the camper that I have, I saw one recently that I wanted but it's bigger than what I have now and it will require a bigger truck, a dually. Maybe I'll get the truck first and then the camper. I talked to friends at the rally and asked them if they were trading and they said they had spent to much money on mods. I have spent a lot too but I still want to trade. One day I'll get to old to camp but it's not today

That's the reason a typical rver will own 4-5 different ones. Always looking. Us too.

That sounds about right for us too. In March of 2014, after about a year of research, RV shows, lot visits, etc, we ordered our first RV travel trailer. We had come up with a very specific list of wants, and really only found one trailer that satisfied all of those "must have" items (sofa that faces the tv, u-dinette, bunks, tub). It is amazing how many RVs have a couch that doesn't look at the tv. We refuse to sit on a couch and look left (or right) to watch tv. Not that we spend hours on hours watching tv, but there are times it rains, and I don't need a neck injury (again) from it. Anyways, getting off topic. So we put in the order, and in late spring/early summer of 2014 we got our trailer. It was actually a 2015. Strangely enough. But, there were some things we really really wanted that weren't offered in the mini lites. A black tank flush, and a rear ladder (there could be more, but that was the major ones). Wouldn't you know that the 2015s that came out later in the year, had a ladder and a black tank flush. We asked and were told that so many people wanted them that they decided to make them a standard feature. Unbelievable. We waited more than a year to make the purchase, were told we couldn't get those features, and adding them after wasn't recommended, and 6 months later they make it standard. Anywho, so we have looked at RVs at shows and lots ever since. Mostly looking for ideas for modifications, and things like that. And we have continued to search for the newest of our model. We recently found one with a different interior color. Didn't know if it was just bad pics, but we decided to go see it in person (we have done that 5 or 6 times). It actually was a slightly different color. It was labeled as a different color, but the wood on the interior is actually a gray-ish brown color. We loved it (by we, I mean she). After seeing half a dozen that we loved and never purchased, apparently this was the one. So we are upgrading from a 2015 Mini Lite 2504S to a 2018 Mini Lite 2504S. But this time we are getting a ladder and black tank flush, lol. Picking it up tomorrow...

Guilty...I started looking at my current TT in 2013 at the Chicago show. Took notes and the brochure. I since have the 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 brochures. In fact, just the other day I was looking through and comparing the changes and thanking God that when it came time to actually buy, the unit I had initially looked at, and hated the interior fabric pattern, was gone and a 2015 was in its place with much better patterns. I'm kind of restricted by my TV and can't afford upwards of $35K for a truck as I'm trying to retire. Oh well, I can sure enjoy what I have even though I'm stored at my dealer and get to look at all the new units and drool.

I do the same thing. My current trailer is brown, brown, and more brown. I prefer the white cabinets with a light hardwood floor. I keep looking at the new models to see if the white will come back. SO far....no luck.
