Okay, who has the oldest trailer still in-use?
Just curious how long these things can go down the road if maintained. I just bought my first trailer and it is a '03 Roo 21'. I'm in the middle of a 40 sq ' floor replacement job right now.
Overall the trailer seems in good shape but for this leak the previous owner had. Looks like plenty of options for parts etc. online to keep them going.
So let's here it, how long are some of you keeping them?

I had a 1967 we sold last year we still took it to nascar races and music festivals. It was a sight but it was fully functional. Just heavy as hell. Replaced the plumbing 5 years ago with my father in law but it worked lie a champ

"Overall the trailer seems in good shape but for this leak the previous owner had."
Leaks are probably the worst problem a trailer/mh can have, along with the health problems generated by mold. The cost to do enough of a teardown to completely track and eliminate the water/mold damage, which can affect a broad area, then restore to original, can be overwhelming in what has to be done and the cost to do it.
I believe few owners will willingly hold onto an RV/trailer once a leak has sprung if they can get out of it financially.
Most fixes I have seen as an inspector are mostly trying to stop a leak coming in, but often leaving the cosmetic giveaways untouched. The owner ignored the underlying need to do a teardown to determine the actual extent of the damage internally.
If you can name a worse problem, let me know.

My 2017 has been mine for 2 months now.
My oldest one was a 1969 popup that I got around 2005. Bought it for $700, put a window ac unit in for $100. and sold it 2 years later for $1000.

We currently have our 4th RV and my parents had 5 thru their 45 year camping life. I believe the longest we had any of them was ~10 years, but none of them (except for the one the tree fell on ) was in a condition that forced the change.

Not a trailer but our amazing VW Westy was used for 18 years. VW worked great but a bit rusty and in-laws gave us a Tioga MH. Ended up using the Tioga until it 20 yrs old. Hope I can get 20 out of my Forester!

We had a 1970 Winnebago 18 foot long motor home. The inside was burnt up in a fire. Rebuild the in side took a 2000 mile trip with 3 kids and a wife.
18 foot was real short. Now a 33 foot mh is shirt.

Our 1st tt together is a 2011 Tracer 205M Ultra Lite 23' sleeps 3 (us & 2 Bassetts). No slide rather basic compared to most on the forum suits us fine.
My other tt is a 1968 Montgomery Ward Tent Trailer 75 pound canvas tent that fits over galvanized pipes on a tiny box trailer. Added a cassette potty easier than wrangling 4 children under the age of 5 @ a campground privy.
Camped in bear country Mt Whitney/Sequoia National Park with an ex military police dog ...
Towable with a 4 cycliner.

I just sold a couple of Airstreams, oldest one was over 40 years old They were all still in usable shape, just needed a bit of updating and cleaning.
We had a 1972 Pathfinder TT up under the barn for a few years, nothing really wrong with it. Someone offered us money for it, so away it went. I think there is still a 1960's Apache tent trailer around here somewhere.
If you take care of them and park them under shelter out of the worst of the weather they should last a long time. I see a lot of RV's that were used for a period of time, then parked somewhere in a back yard, then they rot into the ground because they were given the necessary annual TLC.

My first was a 1961 Cox Cadet Tent trailer and I sold it to my cousin about 5 years ago. He still uses it. Nice little outfit.
Always wanted (and still do) a Serro Scotty. The predecessor to a teardop, only bigger.
Old units are neat.

Will work forever if you maintain it appropriately! Only limitation I am aware of is if you want to camp at some resorts - they limit campers to 10 years or less in age.

Used my 1988 Coleman Sequoia popup for 20 years until the last kid went off to college. Then it sat in the yard for a couple more until I got rid of it.
