Sorry- it was meant mostly in jest.

To answer the question; I do think $10/car is high- especially for the first vehicle. But it isn't unheard of- I've been to a handful of campgrounds where you pay a daily use fee.

Most campgrounds charge for an extra vehicle. 38 bucks for truck and trailer seems reasonable.

The thing he points out, which I agree, is if you come in with a Motorhome, it is just $28. There is no way to shove a drawbar up your behind and pull your trailer in without using the truck.

I'll go with the unreasonable camp, and my habit when they tack on extraneous fees like that is to make sure they know I went across the street. The court of basic business will prevail, it most always does.

Was this especially nice compared to the state park nearby?

It looks like you have to pay $10 just to drive in the park.

I paid $8 for a friend to be able to come by my camper for a couple of hours after work. It sucked but it was in their rules and I was not going to let a buddy pay to see us.

It's not the park for you. Some places have fees on top of fees. I try to avoid those places.

Being close to the Cowboys stadium they will get the business they need. I would rather pay the $48 a night than a hotel room and not fight traffic.

In my line of work a "transit" park is the worst thing you can hear. To me it's stupid a PAYING CUSTOMER or empty lot but it's their rules I drive right by them and think how stupid they are for turning down business.
