OrderingParts for an FR Trailer?

We have a wardrobe in our Salem 282RK bedroom that has an opening for a TV. We want to install doors over the opening and install shelves to expand our bedroom storage. The doors for the cabinet under the entertainment center are the perfect size to cover the opening.

Is there a way to order the doors direct from FR, or do I have to go through a dealer?

On the Salem customer service site, it says that Forest River encourages customers to visit their local dealer. I could not find a way to order from them.

I had the need/want to replace the fender skirt on our trailer when it was delivered. I called my selling dealer and ordered them over the phone and received them very quickly and this was during the Christmas Holiday shut down at the factory. Cost delivered was around $75 which I thought was more than reasonable.

Your second option would be to take one of the doors off, or maybe both. Then take them to a local cabinet shop and have them built, mortised and hinged take them home stain them and install. I know a couple of folks who have gone this route and were pleased with the cost and results.

I used the "Contact Us" on the Palomino web site, selected parts and sent message regarding the door I needed custom built to match the existing doors. They were able to accommodate me and the price was $50.00 plus shipping. The door came with the correct hardware. All I had to do was install it. Make sure you drill pilot holes for any screws you install.
