OTA Antenna Question

I have the cr@ppy tv antenna on my TT. I don't want to drill a hole in the roof to install a King Jack. Is it possible to connect a OTA HDTV antenna to the cable-in connection on the back of the TT? The antenna I am looking at does not require a booster.

If you have the winegard sensar style antenna there is a jack replacement head for it. I have never had good luck with non amplified antennas working for any good distance.

Strictly speaking, yes; the coax cable used for the "Cable-In" connection is suitable for OTA television. Of course, you will have to connect your Television to the "Cable TV" connector and NOT the roof antenna connector on the inside.

Looking at the "typical" factory installed antenna, you will probably find the normal "F" type connectors at the antenna head, and possibly where it goes "into" the roof so these could also be options for you.

The "F" connector on the roof, of course, is a likely place for water intrusion so be appropriately cautious.
