I think having one of those height warning devices is certainly needed for all 5th Wheelers..what a shame...would certainly hate to come home with the top missing off the RV..mema would not be happy..

OK, I can see missing it by 6 inches or maybe a foot, but 4 and a half feet!!!!!

Gotta remember when and what you have behind you. no common sense! can`t just get in and drive like the truck is empty.

There is a low one going under the natchez trace near hohenwal Tenn. Believe it is 11'8" also.

I think all of us have made some really stupid mistakes in our lives, and I bet that driver is in disbelief at what happened.
I just hope nobody got hurt.

Following the instruction of the GPS doesn't always work either. This is what happened to this bus driver who was following his GPS and not paying close attention to the road signs. The fact of the matter is, things happen. I'd be willing to bet fatigue plays a factor in most dumb accidents.
