Hmm, I pulled into get fuel on my first trip out. It was a podunk little fuel station, but the first thing that grabbed my attention was all the damage on the awning over the pumps. I had the navigator jump out and make sure I'd clear.

The clerk also came out and offered to spot me, too. He was probably tired of his store getting beat up.

If I'd have listened to him, I'd have taken off my AC. I don't know why he didn't see it.
He did help me get turned around though which was nice of him. But, then he promptly sent me out of town, up the worst and longest grade I've ever seen.

It's not that I mind people being stupid, what bothers me is that they abuse the privilege.

A year or so ago I had to take my son in law to the Nashville, IAP, Nashville, Tn to catch an early morning flight. The departure/drop off area had an access that led off of I-40. A fellow driving a truck pulling a 5th wheel flat trailer with a back hoe on it made the wrong turn so he was going through the airport to turn around. Somehow he thought the cover over the drop off area was high enough, he made it to the second row of beams and that is where he stopped suddenly. Sort of funny watching him and all the security folks.....

While I was at the dealership doing my PDI, a mechanic backed the biggest 5'er I've ever seen into the garage bay next to us... Whereupon he knocked the a/c cover off the front AC and destroyed the condenser because it didn't quite fit under the bay door. Oops!

Awning Roof

Now I feel better...we had an awning that previously covered our 30' FIS Sunnybrook Trailer. After we moved that unit to our place in the mountains, soon after a terrible ice and snow storm hit our neighborhood and the awning fell down, right on our 2500HD Truck and our Buick Park Ave. $10,000 dollars later, all was repaired and the new 30' x 30' Awning was installed per my AutoCad Drawings, much better than what was there previously. Now to the present, we brought our new Crusader 270 RET home and went to park it under our brand new awning..OPPS.. The RV is 12'-0 High at the top of the AC Unit, the awning is only 11'-4" at its highest point....And you CRAP..got a better word..Now we have the unit setting in the driveway and a nice driveway started across my beautiful sod lawn...Holy Crap!!!!
I do have photo's of downed awning...with dart holes of course!!
