Our season is over

Our camping season has reached it's end. We made our final trip last weekend up to Acadia National Park in Maine. We will spend the next couple of weekends getting our TT ready for it's long winter slumber. We've gone alot of places and had tons of fun but will now start counting down to our first trip of the 2019 season to Ft Wilderness in mid April. For those of you still going, enjoy your travels.

One more trip (to the North Shore), then wait for spring. I had to run out to the storage facility and winterize the trailer last night because overnight temps were supposed to sit at 30d for 1/2 the night, and I really don't want to replace water lines.

He IS south, in North Carolina just like us. We also camp all winter. Camper won't freeze up while we're in it, and we end up winterizing and dewinterizing between winter trips. Easy and worth it, as we really enjoy camping without stifling heat and humidity.

Just this morning we used our heat for the first time this year, thanks to a cold front that came behind the tropical storm. Probably back to A/C this afternoon.

I'm in the south as well but we get some pretty cold weather in the winter it can get to the single digits. I agree with the heat thing this weekend the highs are in the 60's lows in the upper 40" that is perfect camping weather for us. we can actually enjoy the campfire.

Yes! Enjoy that fire.

We have never camped in single digits, but occasionally in the teens at night, and it almost always warms up nicely the next day in our area.

Have woken up to snow a couple of times over the years, and that is neat.. if you don't have to be anywhere. Wouldn't want to tow in it.

Have fun out there.

Here in the southwest desert our camping season is just beginning!

We don't winterize...but summerize the 5'ver.

Summer is too hot to camp (110+ degrees every day of the week) unless we go north to the mountains, but the wintertime is great weatherwise!

This will be my first winter down here so I'm not sure how hard finding a spot to stay will be with all of the snowbirds coming to town right now and in the next few weeks.

Our season is just beginning! Well, June - Aug we pretty much shut down. Too crowded then and too much noise. Leaving Sunday for Maggie Valley, home a couple weeks, then Charleston for 10 days. A couple weeks home for Christmas and Dec 31 we head to Fl. We will enjoy a few more trips then before school lets out then we just fish the Atlantic.

We're heading out Sunday for 6 nights in Door County WI. That will be our last trip of the season. Fall color is just peaking over there, so for once I think we've timed it right. The TT is currently parked in our driveway. Haven't winterized yet, but did drain the water. Left the furnace set at 40 last night, since we got down to about 30. Lows over in Door County are forecast to be mid to upper 30's, so we should be OK.

You still have 4-6 weeks before winter sets in. We closed up our trailer last weekend because that is when the campground shuts down for the season. We did not winterize it because we still have a couple of trips planned. Our last trip will be to Myrtle Beach where we will put it in storage and pick it up after Christmas for a trip to Florida. We may have to finally winterize it when we return from Florida.

Our season is nearly done, too. A little snow flurry this morning!!! We'll be at Lake Anita State Park Mon.-Thu. with full hook-ups to really flush out the tanks for our last day. Then home to winterize her.

We just returned from almost a month there and then Stone Mountain, Ga. We love it and go almost every year. We stay at RV River Plantation, great place and nice people.

To our southern friends... it's still shorts weather in Door county to Wisconsinites. We have our last planned trip starting tonight for south central Wisconsin. Any further trips this year will be spur of the moment and we will not be using the plumbing.

Our season done here in MN. 5th wheel winterized and getting detailed. Then wheel maintenance and a new motor for the awning. After 1st of the year we leave for our 1st snowbird adventure in FL. Have a place all set in Fort Myers area. Have friends and cousins to hang out with down there. We can't wait.

Began winterizing ours on Wednesday. Will put cover on when I get it washed and waxed. But this year will be different. Put the camper away and head for our new cabin and acreage we closed on the end of September. Doesn't need to be winterized and it's available 365/24/7....with "NO Reservations needed."

We head out from Northern NH on Tuesday or Wednesday next week. Slow drive down the coast to Texas for the winter and then a slow drive up the coast to be home for May 1st. I'm an accountant so I just work remotely all winter and my husband photographs birds all winter. Chihuahua just makes friends everywhere. I have vowed to never spend another winter in snow as long as I live! (Although last winter we got snowed on at Thanksgiving in Galveston!) New camper this year (Rockwood 2606WS) and I love the floor plan and the bigger fridge, as I cook a lot.

Our season just now begins... desert, desert, desert. Summer is our terrible downtime. Winter is when it happens! Hope to see your snowbirds in the Mojave!
