our vacation

Arkansas to memphis to huntsville al, down the natchez trace to jackson, over to vicksburg then back home
didnt get to see much of vicksburg due to RAIN but over all it was a good trip
the natchez trace was awesome

13 civil war confederate soldiers.
its beleived they died along the trace on the way to a battle.
the trace was used by peoples as far back as 1800 years ago. it was a highwy from ports on the mississippi
in the north, Nashville to ports south in Natchez
back then there was no engine to bring the barges back north so they scrapped em and sold the wood then walked back north to buil another one and float it down south with goods.

the indians used it to traverse between tribes
it was a cool drive, we stopped at most of the points of interest. still need another day to see the southern end from jackson to natchez
weather made us get off it about 50 miles south of tupelo
