Outdoor temperature sensor

I'm looking for suggestions on the best places to locate the outdoor temp sensor on my weather station. Over the years, I have tried several locations to keep it out of both direct sunshine and rain. Even under the awning there will be times when the sun hits it. Hard to find a dry place that still lets air circulate around the sensor. Lately I've been sitting it on a high-visibility leveling block and shoving it under the camper far enough to stay dry. Haven't left it behind yet. What do the rest of you guys do?

LoL- I was thinking the same thing yesterday. So I put it off to the right side of the fridge vent. Problem is the sun can still beat down on that side wall and I think when air is not moving the temp will increase due to the small flame..

I put mine in one of the propane tank compartments. It is almost wide open on the bottom so lots of air circulation. It is attached with Velcro plus I added a zip tie as a little insurance so it will not "go missing".

I lay mine on top of my X-Chock. It's out of the sun and I never forget about it as I have to remove it to remove the x-chock. I used to sit it on top of a tire... Until one time... Crunch.

I put ours on the rack that holds the spare tire , attached it with zip ties and leave it alone til I need to change the battery. It's protected under the spare tire vinyl cover. Works like a charm

Exactly what I do, it's a perfect place.

Put mine on the frame above the xchock so I do not leave it. It is velcroed to magnetic hide a key. I have not lost it, even when I left it on the frame one time....

I put it in the LP tank storage on my fiver. It wedges behind the LP line against the wall. Sometimes get a cooler reading as its always shaded there. Brother put his in his spare tire cover. But it gets warm when sun hits it. Good question you have here and I've been reading the relies for ideas too. Thanks.

I velcroed mine on the side of the battery box, under the lip of the lid. Two years, no problems and pretty accurate when checking with local weather stations.

Put mine on the back of the spare tire carrier. Out of sun, etc.

I have mine attached to a small utility box I keep on the outside table ( under cover) when I am camping.
