Just checked Google maps. It's a 21 min drive to the food Lion in Avon from Hatteras koa

I refuse to stay at a KOA, every time I have looked in the past they are always way overpriced, to the point I don't even check on them any more.

In my opinion the Hatteras koa is very reasonably priced based on the amenities and location. You will not find a nicer Campground for the family in obx.

I have stayed at four KOA's now, just at one in VA this past week... I have yet to really see a bad one. I will say I was shocked to see that many have a "fee" for children, not sure why but okay...

We were thinking of using the Hatteras KOA as well. I am a diver but with the 3 year old I think I will need to wait a few more years before I can dive Hatteras.
