I use ours a lot. When connecting or disconnecting the black drain hose, I wash my hands after the job. I still use glovers and store the hose in a plastic garment bag, but there is a lot of bacteria on the black hose. As for washing dishes, I do not have a drain with my outside shower hose, so my waste from the plates would go on the ground and I would not do that to the next user of the site.

Bacteria and other nasties from your black tank can and do exist in your rinse pipe. Your shower is connected to your fresh water system and connecting that to your black tank rinse can allow this bacteria back into your fresh water system. It's the same reason why you don't use your drinking water hose to rinse your black tank.

As you might gather, we are beach people. Our outside shower is used every time our children come and bring dogs. Grubby little grandkids get a strip down and are bathed outside with soap and warm water. We have spigots with cold water on the RV pole but we'd be lost without an outside shower.

A quick tip for all who said their shower hose is only 2 feet long-
The rest of the hose is probably wrapped around other hoses, wiring, etc. inside the trailer. I discovered this when installing a buffer tank on the water system. Score another example of poor attention to detail for FR.

How do you think black water is going to get from the black water tank to the fresh water tank, I have a backflow preventer on the freshwater hose. Maybe it's going to somehow fly around it
