Mine is very useful simply for washing hands without going inside. I use it very often.

My plan is to attach a detachable hose(pressure washer fittings? garden hose quick disconnects?) to it, extend the hose and put a quality GH sprayer on there. I will no longer have an outside kitchen, so I am sure seeing it used more. Dang. I am gonna miss that.

I actually installed one on the back wall of my TT.
We use it for spraying down dirty feet/paws. Kids also use it for washing down after swimming (hot water outside is nice).

Actually, it's kind of handy. I use for filling the dogs water bowl, rinsing off stuff that I don't want to take inside the trailer.
The dog got sick on a small rug once and I took it outside and washed it with the o/d shower.....very handy. I rinse off my campfire shovel before storing in the compartment.

Just be careful. At the beach last year I nearly panicked when I saw a stream of water pouring from the rear of my camper. To my relief, I discovered that DW had been washing sand off the dog's feet, and in the process of turning the water off and on at the shower head, she thought the water had been cut off when she stowed it away. Unfortunately, she had left the faucets on, and the head kept putting out a small stream of water, just like the inside shower.
Obviously an easy fix, but scared the hxxx out of me at first.

I use ours to give our dog a bath and to rinse things off. I also use it when I winterize the water system. I don't have a shower head on it so I connect it to the city water connection. I turn the lever from normal to winterize. I put the small hose used to bypass the fresh water tank into a large container of antifreeze. Then turn on the pump and start running the antifreeze through the water system. I don't forget to winterize the outside shower this way. When I'm done I connect it to the black tank flush and everything has antifreeze.

If you disagree, please share what you have used yours for.
My outdoor shower is a great location to store a replacement showerhead hose when the one inside fails. That is all I use it for.

Most folks use the outside shower to clean their furkids.
I use the outside shower to wash my hands after doing anything with the sewer system. I keep a towel and some antibacterial hand cleaner in the wet bay to facilitate this.

When we got out first RV in 2008 we were so excited it came with an outside shower. Turned out we never used it and we have dogs. My current one also has it and never been used.
Problem is we are always camped on dirt, sparse grass or sand. If we turned it on we would make more of a mess than we were trying to clean up. If I had a pallet to stand on or put the dogs on it would likely work very well.

I use my outside shower all the time, it stays hooked up to my black water tank flush. I can even use hot water to wash out the tank.

You won't catch me tying my drinking water supply to anything related to the black tank. That's just plain gross.

I use ours a lot. When connecting or disconnecting the black drain hose, I wash my hands after the job. I still use glovers and store the hose in a plastic garment bag, but there is a lot of bacteria on the black hose. As for washing dishes, I do not have a drain with my outside shower hose, so my waste from the plates would go on the ground and I would not do that to the next user of the site.

Bacteria and other nasties from your black tank can and do exist in your rinse pipe. Your shower is connected to your fresh water system and connecting that to your black tank rinse can allow this bacteria back into your fresh water system. It's the same reason why you don't use your drinking water hose to rinse your black tank.

As you might gather, we are beach people. Our outside shower is used every time our children come and bring dogs. Grubby little grandkids get a strip down and are bathed outside with soap and warm water. We have spigots with cold water on the RV pole but we'd be lost without an outside shower.

A quick tip for all who said their shower hose is only 2 feet long-
The rest of the hose is probably wrapped around other hoses, wiring, etc. inside the trailer. I discovered this when installing a buffer tank on the water system. Score another example of poor attention to detail for FR.

How do you think black water is going to get from the black water tank to the fresh water tank, I have a backflow preventer on the freshwater hose. Maybe it's going to somehow fly around it
