Patch or Replace

Finally getting ready to hit the road next weekend for our first and longest trip this year. Only found 2 problems so far. First find was our linoleum split from one end of the coach to the other. That's definitely on the replace list. Second, after taking the cover off the RV, Mother Nature was nice enough to throw a storm our way and fire a branch right through our awning between the wall and the roll. Talk about accuracy. So know we have about a 1/2 inch hole in the center of the awning up against the RV.
Do we go cheap and buy some of the clear awning patch or do we replace the awning?

My first thought is do you have insurance to cover the storm damage? If so, that could be a route to explore. If not, never hurts to throw a patch on and see if you can live with it. I'd probably attempt the patch first.

Oh man! Didn't even think about the insurance! I was so upset about it. I'll give them a call in the morning. Thanks for the reminder!
