Patio Mat - What to get / how to clean / where to store?
I am looking at a patio mat because I believe they help keep the inside of the RV cleaner. My questions are these.
I heard in another topic on here to tie the mat to the rear bumper till it can be cleaned probably.
What mat is best? I want something that will not hold moisture. Nothing fancy. Cheaper the better.
Where do you store yours? I have a TT so space can be limited.
How do you clean yours. I can imagine hanging over my house deck railing and pressure wash it off.

we got ours at camping world about 4 years ago. it was the reversible one and has held up well. we shake it off before leaving and I just put it in the back of the truck. at home I put the mat in the grass and hose off, scrub with a broom, rinse, flip and do the other side. let it dry.

I like these and have used them for years. Relatively cheap, sweep/shake/hose to clean, dries fast, water runs through, light and folds up small. Stuff in garbage bag. About 2 feet x 1 foot rolled up. Have used on dirt, gravel, sand. Durable.

The plastic bamboo looking mats work well unless you put chairs and/or tables on them. I have turned to a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet from a carpet or home improvement store. They usually have remnants for sale. Or go outside to the back of the store and look through what they are trowing away. The back of store is really cheap and works very well. The store is trowing them away and do not care if you help yourself as long as you do not make a mess.

Used indoor/outdoor carpet for years (same piece) Yes they do hold moisture and can stain. If it got wet I'd throw it in the bed of the truck till we got home and it dried out. Today we picked up a regular mat at Wally World, it was $48.

Check the RV isle in WalMart.
We bought 2 online from e-trailer and then saw the
exact same ones at WallyWorld for less!

Ours came from jacksonstraders.com with a storage bag. It really doesn't take up a lot of space once folded up.
I sweep it off as best as I can before we pack up, stick it in the bag & clean it once we get home if it needs it. I usually hang it over the deck rail but have draped it over a couple of rockers we have on the front porch and used the jet spray on the hose. For stubborn areas, I use a soft bristle scrub brush.

we got ours from RVawingmats.com and are very pleased with ours.
we went with them because of variety of patterns, price and the bag it comes with.
ours is very easy to clean and very lightweight. and we would never need to put it on the rear bumper. that's for those indoor/outdoor carpets that weigh a ton when wet.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I can't believe that a patio mat would have many replies Thanks again.

We bought a 12' length of 6' wide outdoor carpet at Home Depot. On our old 26' C, I stashed it on the roof rack. On our current rig, it goes in one of the pass-through bays. I have a 6' strip of 1" square wood that serves as a mandrel to roll it round when we break camp.
At home, it gets shampooed with a regular home shampooer. It's a medium-broun pepper and salt color, so the muck doesn't show much. I sweep any gravel off as I roll it up, but that's all. It's on its third season, with about 6 years between #2 and #3 and still good.
