About twice a year I empty everything out and give it a good bug spraying. Open all cabinets, hatches, etc, spray them and leave open to air out before putting things back in I spray the stabilizers as well, and usually spray them again before a trip. I've never had a problem with insects or rodents but I did start putting dryer sheets in cubbie holes and around hose penetrations as a rodent deterrent after reading horror stories on this forum, lol. Also, I just started using the ultrasonic pest repellers in my RV - I have used them in my house for several years with excellent success - no chemicals to disturb my pets. Thought, what the heck, I will try them in my RV so I have one in there, but when I do not have it connected to my shore power (had a 30 amp outlet installed as well as a sewer tap installed where i keep it "on my back 40") I rely on the bug spray doing the job.
Also, I am very careful to do a thorough cleaning when I return from a trip. I leave absolutely no food in the camper in between trips.
No bugs of any kind....and I live in Florida
