I will be there this weekend. It is usually a very nice clean campground. It's right on
the lake and on non-holiday weekends is very quiet. I always try to stay on the "A"
loop. I think the sites are much larger with more privacy. Sites 14-17 are our favorites.
The bathrooms are old but serviceable with laundry (so-so) and are usually
very clean. We go there to mountain bike as the Bartram Trail runs through the
campground and F.A.T.S trail is only 15 minutes away. The Bartram trail is very well
maintained and is also open to hiking. It runs along the lake and has very little altitude
change overall. There is a great Ice machine just outside the park (west) but the
country store has little to offer. Propane is available but it's about a 30 minute drive.
The park is only about 20 minutes from civilization (walmart, publix, movie theater, etc..)
I have stayed there a dozen times over the last 5 years with the family and
only had one bad (loud) night that the sheriff handled nicely. There are often
quite a few full timers staying there every time we visit.
