Pins, Decals, Trinkets - How/where do you display?

How do you display your collectibles you pick up on your travels? We've made it a thing on our trips to start collecting pins from the state parks/visitor centers, etc. I'm not sure how I want to display them in my trailer. Any ideas or suggestions?

We display our pins on a corkboard (backs removed) and use museum putty to hold them in place. That's usually displayed at home.

The refrigerator magnets are on display in the rv on black magnetic boards that we picked up at WalMart in their office supply area.

We started getting small keychain style stuffies on our travels. At Disney we got Mickey and Minnie, Yoda, etc. When we visit zoos we try to get an animal that represents that zoo well. Then we hang them with command strips on the ceiling.Click image for larger version

I'll take a pic later, but...
Had a wall that was open. We collect the small keychain and pin type stuff, small.
I cut and file off any pins on back, use a small piece of 3M double sided tape, and stick em on the wall. 3M tape is the same tape that comes with the 3M Command Hooks, and when pulled off don't harm the wall.
In 5 years have never had one fall down.

We took the glass out of cabinet doors and replaced it with metal mesh, cork, and fabric.

My sons started this back in the '80's. They collected pins, badges and tabs from all over. Then they grew-up and left home, and left said items with the wife and I. They have no interest in them, the grandkids don't either. Now it is just "unnecessary stuff" packed away in the garage. tried to get rid of them at a yard sale. Sold (basically gave away), only 3 items out of hundreds.

My wife has always had a saying, "It's not where you been, it's where you're going".

I like your wall. What are you using to attach the items?

We collect Christmas Ornament from the places we have been. No ornament a refrigerator magnet or walking stick pin with a 1/16" hole drilled and a little ribbon. So many now no other ornaments than where we have been.

Pin display

When I had the 5er, I quilted what looks to most people like a series of table runners and attached them on that wall above the slide out. Then I pinned my pins into those as I acquired them. Now that I have traded the 5er for a truck camper, there is no place for the mini quilts, so I'm glad to see new ideas - so far I like the idea of sticking cork to the overhead cabinet door inserts. I've been thinking I might resort to sticking them into the valences and lambrequins - what else are those things any good for anyway?

I use the 3M tape that comes with the Command Hooks. I buy the replacement tape packages and cut the strips in smaller pieces to fit the backs of the pins.
If a pin, I snip the pin off and file down the nub till pin is flat on back.

If I purchase a sticker, I have a sheet of plexiglass, approximately 20x30 that has holes drilled in the top 2 corners and a chain attached so it can be hung outside the camper. I put the stickers on the front or the back and it is not full yet.

I also collect lighthouse figurines. I am from MI, home of The Great Lakes, and it is on my bucket list to visit all the lighthouses in MI. There are approximately 118 of them and I've visited 32 so far. If the lighthouse has a gift shop or a keepers association, I purchase a miniature figurine first, then a magnet or pin if the figurine is unavailable. I have the lighthouses attached to my counter in the kitchen of my TT using museum putty. So far, I am able to display what I've collected. Not sure what I'll due when I run out of counter space!

I use my hood over my range in the TT to attach magnets. Oh, and I also collect smashed/smooshed pennies, which go into special booklets I purchased recently, and I attach miscellaneous collectibles to the walls in my TT using museum putty.

Lastly, I collect hiking stick medallions for all city, state and federal parks that we hike in, when available (and for the lighthouses). I have a batch of hiking sticks that are in the process of becoming seasoned so I can finish them and give them to family and friends this fall.

Travel collectibles

X2 to Allenb12 on Christmas ornaments. DW has a four foot tree that she sets on table in living room. All travel related items decorate that tree. We where given a small cermanic camper and that goes under the tree.
