I am really thankful for all of your tips. I am looking forward to buying our first camper. I just wanted to be prepared for what to look for. i am going back to check the camper out so i will look into all of these things. i am buying it from a lady that got it in her divorce so she can't really answer all of my questions because her ex husband usually took care of everything. i am sure i will have more questions later after i check it out

3 main things to check before you go ahead with this camper/ Check the outside fiberglass finish for bubbling and waiving. Delamination can be a very expensive thing to fix. If you see this dont buy it. Next go under with a old blanket and check the floor membrane all around and touch with your finger applying pressure. If you feel some soft spot stay away from this trailer. . Borrow a step ladder from the dealer and check the roof. Check the roof membrane for condition. Is it rotting and chalky. How is the caulking condition, etc. If all these items are good you can think about a dealing price with the dealer.

Here's a PDI checklist that will give you good reference for what to checkout.
Resale values for this trailer as per NADA book is 11550 high to 9590 low so 10500 is a fair price if it's in good condition and everything works!

My $.02 = if that 2006 is in like-new condition and comes with various accessories / camper gear, then it seems like a fair price. That number looks like a dealer lot price rather than a private sale, at least in my neck of the woods. Triguy is correct, like many big purchase items, prices can vary greatly depending on area.
I recently paid 2K less than that for an 06 27BHSS in very good condition with lots of accessories (from complete hitch setup to supply of toilet paper!). I paid the owner what a local dealer was going to pay him for it, same dealer he bought it from. Maybe I just got lucky!

Whatever you decide on, have fun!
