We have had a fifth wheel for quite a few years now.
My thought had always been, if it has wheels it shouldn't be permanently park.
Well we went seasonal, 5 years now, coming on 6. There were two main reasons we went seasonal:
1-For the first 4 years or so with our fifth wheel we averaged about 5 to 6 outings.
2-Have you noticed an increase in RV sales, RV's on the highway, they have to go somewhere.
From mid April to mid Septemeber we are at out trailer every weekend.
It may rain Friday so we would wait untill Saturday and then go, or go Friday and bring a movie(and wine). Without a seasonal spot we wouldn't go at all.
We get a lot more use out of the trailer by going seasonal. Our spot is less than an hour away, from house to sitting down with beer in had, 1 hour and 15 minutes. Thats the best I can do
Probably the biggest reason for going seasonal is too many RV'ers. Longweekends had to be booked by March early April otherwise hope for a cancellation. It was just getting to hard to book spots.
We think seasonal is great, do we get bored? Not a chance, we are outside, golfing, relaxing, barbqueing sitting at the fire. We like tinkering with our site, making it OURS. Sure its the same spot, but we are still camping and out of the rat race.
EXGMTech - I think you enjoy it and you will get more use out of your trailer.
