Question

Is Blue Boy a brand? I can't find anything online about them. I emailed Barker about their products & where to buy, but got no reply. I'm aware of Thetford & Tote-n-Stor (getting rid of 15 gal' model from pop up).

Any pros or cons to the various brands? I think the pneumatic tire upgrade is common to all brands.

if you spend a lot of time at this sight and others do too, maybe you can talk the camp ground into getting a honey wagon...

@ revrnd....I don't think "Blue Boy" is a brand, I think it's someones nickname for their waste tank. Barker is the brand I purchased from J C Witney, they had the best price. I think it all depends on what features you are looking for......some have a side discharge and some have 4 wheels. I have 2 wheels (22 gal tank) so it can be hard to move for some people, my wife couldn't not handle a full tank or 1/2 full for that matter.

Good luck

I want to try what at least one other here does. Leave the sewer cap on the TT on and open both gray and black valves and let the gray transfer to the black giving you more precious gray water room. Even with the kids not showering our 30 gallon gray fills up quick. Sure some, hopefully gray only, will come out when you go to dump. But I wear nitrile gloves so I can live with that. I don't see blue boy in my future. We went to the TT to make camping a little easier than tent camping. Don't need/want any additional chores..

Would the gray run into the black, or would you just be making a nasty cocktail that ends up in both tanks - as it is you don't need to add chems to the gray tank.

Doing the blue boy routine isn't that bad really. You're not dumping the whole tank and you only need to do it every other day or so, takes maybe 15 minutes.

I would NEVER even consider this even if you restricted your potty to "P" only!

With #2 and TP in your gray water tank you won't be able to flush it get the solids out completely and it will never be clean again. Sloshing when traveling will empty your traps and you will get stink into the camper forever after.

Again; a very bad idea, IMHO.
